    Congratulations!   Blake Waldron has been awarded First Place in the Grades K-2 category of the 2016 Virginia Association of Science Teachers’ second annual student art poster contest.  The artwork will be matted, mounted, and displayed at our annual professional development conference in Williamsburg November 17th-19th.  There were nearly 80 total entries and nine semi-finalists in the primary school category that the fourteen esteemed judges considered for the final awards.  Blake is to be commended for this achievement.

                        Berkeley Glenn has a Chess Club! We meet in the TAG room from 2:30-3:45. Our Faculty sponsor is Mrs. Jenna Frank.The Chess Club is for Beginners and Intermediate chess player. (4th and 5th Graders) Space is limited and on first come first serve basis. Students MUST be picked up at 3:45. 
                      You Must have permission to stay and play!

Two Hour School Delays and Breakfast

Our Food Service will provide breakfast for children on 2 hour delay days. From 9:40-10:00 in the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed from the cafeteria at 10:00. The breakfast items will be: pop tarts and cheese sticks or yogurt and graham crackers.

Boys/Girls Club Afterschool Program. Students will go to the cafeteria at second bell and can be picked up until 6:30. They will be given help with homework, and eat dinner at BG. We are looking forward to partnering with them to help serve our families. The three ladies in charge of our Boys /Girls Club are Sharon Marshall, site director; Gina Jackson, and Kathleen Macias. They will be using the multipurpose room for small instructional groups. If you have students enrolled in the program, please visit Sharon, Gina and Kathleen.

The Funding Factory. This is a recycling program that rewards school with cash and supplies while keeping our Earth clean and green.

You can help by recycling used printer cartridges, cell phones and other small electronics.

There is a bin located in the office for these items.

Jessica Pickwoad is our parent representative that collects items and mails them off for Berkeley Glenn. She is working on getting us a bigger bin for collection.
